Your birthday is calculated in this browser.

Your number and complete calculation will appear here.

Which calculation rules are used?

Add every digit of the full Gregorian birth date, then reduce the sum. Stop at 1–9 or a master number (11, 22 or 33). For a master number, also show its base number. The year, month and day are not reduced separately.

How to calculate the Life Path Number? First, clarify the date and rules

Use the Gregorian calendar—your actual birthday in the Western (public) calendar. Enter the year as a four-digit Western year. Add up every digit in the year, month, and day, then sum the digits of the total until you reach a number from 1 to 9, or stop at 11, 22, or 33. When you reach a master number, retain it and list the base number obtained from the initial sum. This is the method used by Nexa on this page. Birth time, name, and zodiac sign do not factor into this calculation and should not be mixed with other methods.

  • First confirm the date: for example, the year 1992 corresponds to the Republic of China year 81; if you only know your lunar birthday, first convert it to the correct Gregorian date.
  • Add all digits together: 1992-10-05 becomes 1+9+9+2+1+0+0+5.
  • Simplify further: the total sum is 27, then 2+7, resulting in 9.
  • Retain the master number: if the total or any subsequent simplification results in 11, 22, or 33, keep the master number and list the base number (e.g., 1+1=2 for 11).

Four example cases to step-by-step verify your own process

After the calculator provides the result, you can cross-check the addition using the table below. The leading zero will remain in the date but will not affect the total sum; February 29 must be a valid date in the actual year. These four examples also show that 38 simplifies first to 11, then displayed as 11/2; 33 becomes a master number in the first sum. Do not alter your birthday or omit any digit simply to achieve a number you prefer.

What personal themes can be explored for numbers 1–9?

The Life Path Number is a system of symbolic interpretation—different from psychological tests. Below, common number themes are translated into reflective questions about your life. You may feel strongly connected to one, or feel completely different from yourself; either reaction is valid. Rather than seeing yourself as a fixed label like 'I am a 7', ask: In which situation did this theme appear? Were my choices at that time still appropriate today?

NumberSymbolic themeReflective questions
1Initiative and beginningWhat is my first step? Where am I open to listening to others' opinions?
2Collaboration and relationshipsWhen caring for others' feelings, did I clearly express my own needs?
3Expression and creativityWhat would I like others to hear? How can I turn my ideas into tangible creations?
4Order and accumulationWhich daily routines support me? Which rules should I adjust?
5Exploration and changeWhat do I truly want to try? What sacrifices am I willing to make for it?
6Care and responsibilityWhat responsibilities am I willing to take on? Which should be shared equally?
7Understanding and inquiryWhat still needs clarification? When can I proceed with limited knowledge?
8Resources and PracticeHow can I organize my time, money, and influence to support important goals?
9Empathy and PerspectiveWhere would I like to apply my experience? Can I also accept help when helping others?

Why do 11/2, 22/4, and 33/6 appear together—two numbers at once?

In this numerology system, 11, 22, and 33 are known as Master Numbers. Base numbers maintain your connection to 2, 4, and 6. For example, 11/2 can be read together as relating to intuition and collaboration; 22/4 to vision and implementation; 33/6 to care with boundaries. Master Numbers represent an alternative lens of interpretation—one unrelated to one’s abilities or life success. The result is that people with regular numbers have just as much space for choice, learning, and transformation as those with Master Numbers.

Why do different websites show different Master Numbers?

Differences may arise from the order of summation and the timing of retaining Master Numbers. For instance, Numerology.com simplifies the year, month, and day separately before combining them, while this page adds all date digits at once. When encountering Master Numbers, these methods may yield different results. Before comparing, always verify that the birth dates, Gregorian or lunar calendar, and calculation rules are identical. This tool uses the version 'life-path-gregorian-digits-v1,' fully detailing the process so results can be recalculated.

After calculating, bring the number into a tangible experience

Suppose you receive a 6. When you read about care and responsibility, you immediately think of organizing every meeting yourself. Take a moment to note your personal affinity for caregiving, then try delegating one task to someone else and observe your reaction. This is a practical example of applying a numerology theme to daily life—each 6 has a unique context. The calculation, example, and theme are all presented here in full.

A THOUGHT TO KEEP

First, verify your birthday and calculation, then select the most resonant theme and compare it to a recent real-life experience.
